The Art of Being Fully Alive

Being, Becoming & Living in Congruence

There are places that ask you to slow down, to listen more closely, to remember what matters. Six days in the hills of Umbria — to step out of the pace of everyday life and return to the one that's already yours, differently.

UMBRIA

The pace you were built for.

Rolling hills, warm stone, ancient hilltop villages, open skies and natural hot springs — Umbria has a way of making time feel different. Days unfold more slowly here. Meals are lingered over.

Most of us have spent years organizing our lives around what we should be doing, how we should be appearing, what everyone else needs from us. Six days in a place built for none of that has a way of helping you hear yourself again.

THE RETREAT

Being and becoming. Real presence, real Italy.

This is not a week about reinventing yourself. It's about noticing what's already true within you, what's ready to fall away, and what wants to emerge next — becoming more available to the life you already have.

Set inside the rhythm of an organic farm in the Umbrian countryside — long meals, warm conversation, open afternoons — you'll do the inner work that actually changes things.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

A week shaped by rest, movement and real presence

Each day moves at its own pace — shaped by the rhythm of the farm, the land and the group, rather than a fixed schedule. Across the week, expect:

  • Daily yoga, breath work and meditation

  • Sound healing

  • Guided reflection and meaningful conversation, woven through the week rather than confined to a single session

  • A cooking class rooted in the Umbrian tradition of simple, seasonal food

  • Long, unhurried meals together

  • A guided excursion into the surrounding countryside and villages

  • An optional additional excursion, for those who want more

  • Open time — for rest, for wandering, for nothing at all

THE PLACE

La Locanda della Quercia Calante

A restored fourteenth-century stone farmhouse set on an organic farm in the hills outside Castel Giorgio, 18 kilometers from Orvieto. Built using bioarchitecture principles — solar power, natural materials, rooms shielded from electromagnetic fields — it's surrounded by a green park of ancient trees, with its own spring-water pool fed by volcanic rock and a dedicated yoga deck overlooking the countryside.
