“I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are,
what you have, and what can still be for you.”
~ Virginia Satir
My story
I have lived and worked around the world, including raising my children internationally. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for the many ways people create meaning, navigate change, and build fulfilling lives. Outside of my work, I’m drawn to travel, art, fashion, good food, and the natural world. I love being outdoors, learning new skills, and exploring new places—as well as quiet time at home.
My interest in the connection between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being began early. As an adolescent, I fractured my spine in a horseback-riding accident and developed scoliosis. The long process of living with and recovering from that injury eventually led me to yoga, which I have practiced since 1994. Through yoga, I began to understand the body and mind not as separate systems, but as deeply interconnected aspects of our overall well-being.
That understanding has continued to shape my professional path. Today, I work as a coach, educator, trainer, and facilitator, supporting individuals, families, and professional groups through periods of growth and transition. My approach draws from my post-graduate education in psychology, study of the ACT model, the Satir Growth Model, integrative health and wellness, body-centered coaching, DBT, mindfulness, yoga, somatic awareness, and complementary healing practices.
I did not set out to combine these disciplines. Each became part of my work through years of study, practice, and lived experience. Together, they allow me to work with the whole person—helping people better understand themselves, recognize established patterns, strengthen their inner resources, and make choices that are more aligned with who they are and how they want to live.
I believe people carry within them an innate capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. Everything we need is already within us. My passion is helping others reconnect with that capacity and bring it more fully into their lives.
Joy does not need to wait until everything in life is resolved. It can be part of how we meet the journey itself.
Right Now.
These days I'm coaching people one-on-one, leading workshops and training programs, and bringing this work to conferences and organizations. I'm still traveling any chance I get — and leading a retreat or two a year.
I'm based in Durham, NC. My clients are all over the world.
